Free Tai Chi

If you are looking for a place to study free tai chi then you may not need to look much further than your local park. Often there are people practicing the discipline in the park early in the morning. Most of them get up at sunrise to do these exercises so the key is to go to the park early to see if there is anyone practicing the discipline. Once you do find a group all you need to do is emulate what the other practitioners are doing by following along with their movements. The movements are not difficult to do and flow together in a way that is easy to imitate.

Imitating others who are doing the moves, also known as "the forms", is the best way to get free tai chi lessons. From watching others you will soon discern that it is a simple process of mimicking each posture as the person in front of you performs it.

It is also helpful to think of tai chi moves as a series of postures that are connected by fluid movements. Some people find it easier to learn how to master the postures first. This means getting from one pose to another without worry too much about the connecting movements in between each. Still others find that it is much easier to learn a free tai chi routine if you keep up with the fluid movements even if you are doing them badly.

The good thing about tai chi is that even if you are doing them badly you can still manage to get some benefit out of them. Still the longest it should take you to master all of the moves is a week or two. Many people learn the entire routine in just a day or a couple of days. How fast or quickly you learn depends on your physical fitness, coordination and memory for dance steps in the first place.

If you live in a small town in might be harder to find groups of people practicing free tai chi at sunrise. In large cities it is relatively easy to find people practicing free tai chi especially if you look in a park that is near your local Chinatown or that is near a place where you might know that there is a large Asian population.

It might also be key to remember that although it is most common to practice a tai chi routine facing the sun in the morning, not all people practice tai chi first thing. Some people like to practice it at sunset so if you are not having luck finding a free tai chi routine in the morning consider searching for these groups at sunset.

Yet another way to get free tai chi lessons is to go to one of the many tutorials online that are offered. If you log into chats, forums and blogs that have to do with the subject you are also likely to find lots more information about free tai chi.
